Tell Some Body ...

'Mystified' Makes OaklandSeen Front Page
November 16, 2010 | 8:22PM | Post by: Randy Smith
Almost a year in the making 'Mystified' is now being exposed to the online world.

The music video project is aptly termed "Hip Hope" because of its realistic approach to dealing with Rape and Incest, and its immediate goal of delivering hope.

It brings together a Wordsmith, Rapper, and Songstress to tell the compelling story of one family coming to terms with this issue.

The project was developed and produced in and around Oakland and its ultimate purpose is to link Survivors to counseling or support -- right now.

The reviews are great and compel the team to keep pushing and getting the word out. In the words of Mr. Habi: "Tell Some Body ..."

The Results Are In
July 2, 2010 | 7:42AM | Post by: L. Brown
History was made a short time ago when over 3500 Americans came together as a result of the work of hundreds of committed "believers in the power of democracy".

Dedoceo Habi was one of them.

The results are in and can be viewed here.

Here we are weeks after the big day and the picture around the needs of the American Peoples are coming clearer. A recent article in the Huffington Post sheds more light and insights into the voice of the people.

Take a few minutes, review, assess, reflect... then send us an email... We would enjoy hearing from you.
Dedoceo Habi Works For America
June 15, 2010 | 8:56PM | Post by: L. Brown
ImageFor the last four months there has been a growing number of Americans working together to have a day of discussion and dialog around the National budget and Economy.

We are happy to know that Dedoceo Habi has been working diligently to bring several hundred people in the Portland, Oregon area to the table, and voice their opinions and concerns on June 26th.

In total, six primary cites and another 18 to 22 secondary cities will come together to let their voice be heard, accepted, and then passed on to our political leadership. President Obama will be listening.

The event will be available via internet as well so even those who are unable to attend can see what other Americans are saying WE need to do to build a stronger America.

Take a minute or two and learn more by going here.

Learn more about what's happening to all of us, and -- more importantly -- what we can do to make a difference.

Children's Educational Program - Awareness Campaign
February 17, 2009 | 12:59AM | Post by: Staff
ImageWe are happy to announce our recent collaboration with San Francisco's Jones Memorial United Methodist Church on the creation of the JUMP / PREP promotional video for Youth Accelerated Learning. The program is an after school tutorial program and it represents an integrated approach to teaching children how to learn better.

The project will help the JUMP / PREP program leadership raise greater awareness of their efforts in the community, draw attention to their innovative and dynamic approach to learning, and secure funding for their effort to expand the program while at the same time become more sustainable.

The children in the program perform at higher levels as compared to children that do not. Educators benefit in a number of ways including: less stress in the teaching environment, greater student classroom participation, elevated student confidence, and higher levels of interest in classwork on the part of the students.

Additionally, because students have a greater appreciation for learning, they are much more likely to retain lessons, share what they have learned with other students -- and family -- and develop better study habits.

We are pleased to announce the Imageworking collaboration between Vital Life Services (VLS) and MindWorks Net to develop a promotional package for VLS, a community service provider. The package will be used in support of VLS community awareness and fund raising efforts.

Newly relocated into the old Your Black Muslim Bakery, and completely renovated to better serve the community, the organization is a community facing service provider. VLS has been offering services to disadvantaged and under-served members of the community for more than 20 years.

ImageThe VLS leadership team is developing an innovative strategy to create greater self-sustainability, and has partnered with MindWorks Net for the filmed portion of the endeavor. The partnership represents another effort in support of the MindWorks Net vision to help create lasting/positive benefits to the community.
